Abstract

Evangelization as the form of In-depth Catechesis is important for the life of the church including our youth today, Jesus said "I am the vine and you are my branches" (In 1 5: 1 -9). Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a branch and withers (In 1 5:6). Jesus chooses his people to serve his Father and His church. He says: "You did not choose me, no, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last" (In 15:16). My command to you to love one another (In 15:17) Jesus is Catechizing His disciples to love one another. In this Research we are going to discuss and catechize the Youth from Guadalupe Parish. As the Church we want to move together, with them, we want to impart knowledge that will defend the Catholic faith, give room to the youth and let them know their important role in the church. By giving In-depth Catechesis we want to defend our young people and protect them from going astray; to help the Youth stand on their convictions not to be swayed by other Churches; to help the youth realize the biblical root of Catechesis and help them to go back to the patristic period; to help the Youth, to carry the Good News of the risen Christ and help them listen to God and take a step forward in'their life. Catholic Church is instituted by Jesus Christ Himself. During his life here on earth, he instructed his apostles in order to lay the foundation of his church (Mt. 26:26- 29). He handed on which means Jesus made a preparation for them and Catechized them. The Catholic Church is the Universal Church because of the apostolic succession. The Church as the family of God has also the youth who are the light and hope of the world. When we talk about the Church we can not forget the youth because they are the fruit of the Church. They must have their own role to play in the house of the Lord. The aim of this study is to re-awaken and develop their faith, to impart in them the knowledge of God and to strengthen their faith; to encourage them to love God and to love others as Jesus commanded. We also aim at helping them to internalize the Word of God. The Catechism has to be deepened in the life of our youth today, in order to allow them to protect and support the Church so that the Church may have Christians who will be able to stand up for their own convictions. We need to catechize them, to prevent them from leaving the Church because of lacking deep understanding of their faith. Evangelizing the young people in the form of Catechesis is important. Catechesis will somehow help these young people to value Scripture and discover God's revelation. This Catechesis may also boost vocations among them. It is also important for the youth as it may help them face their challenges with faith, hope and love. It has been observed that the first victims of the spiritual and cultural crisis gripping the world are the young. It is also true that any commitment for the better of society is in them. This Study will stimulate the Church to proclaim the Gospel to the world of the youth with courage and creativity. In this respect experience suggests that it is useful in Catechesis to distinguish between pre-adolescence, adolescence, and young adulthood, attending to the results of scientific research in various countries including my country Malawi, the warm heart of Africa. In developed regions, the question of pre-adolescents is particularly significant sufficient account is not taken of the difficulties, and needs of the human and spiritual resources of pre-adolescents, to the extent of defining them a negated age-group. Very often at present the pre-adolescent in receiving the Sacrament of confirmation, formally concludes the process of Christian initiation. This is a matter of concern in cases which require specific pastoral care, based on the formative resources of the journey of initiation itself. Education also will be encouraged to the youth for the development of life. It is important to distinguish between the other two group's adolescents and the young adult, even though it is not easy to differentiate them. Youth Catechesis must be profoundly revised and revitalized and form future leaders of families, Church and Society. Catechists to stand for the Church and Catechize the Youth with love. Therefore, Catechesis for the young people is most critical in Guadalupe Parish to help them to deal with the great challenges of faith in our society and culture, and in developing in them the virtues by which they are to become strong members of the church and good citizens of the country. Let the Holy Spirit work in them, the Spirit which is God's gifts.
