Abstract

In the present paper we study stable lattice configuration for a vortex in HTSC using the Ginzburg-Landau(GL) theory for a superconductor with d-wave paring. We calculate the minimum G-L free energy interms of evaluating the Abrikosov parameter (βA) for the ratio of unit-cell dimensions(R). For R = 1 square lattice βA = 1.08643 and R = √3 triangular lattice,βA = 1.25881. That shows square lattice is relatively stable, Which is in agrement with recent theoretical and experimental work by kogan et al(1997),Maki(1991) by working on Ginzburg-Landau treatments, combined with Fermi-surface anisotropy[24]. Also we have studied localization of vortices theoretically using strong pining columnar defect[20]. During our work we calculate pinning potential Ur(R) and critical current density jc and show the effect of temperature and thermal fluctuation. Finally using scaling theory we see the temperature dependence of resistivity and have shown the vortex motion is prohibited around Bose-glass temperature.
