Abstract
The aim of this Study was to investigate the problem and prospects of hand ball project in Oromia region at Shakiso Woreda. To this end, descriptive survey method was employed. The Data were gathered from 20 athletes, 1 head coach and 1 youth and sport office. The respondents sampling was carried out through total population of sample techniques. The data for the study was obtained through questionnaires, interview and observation techniques. Both qualitative and quantitative methods and percentage were used to analyze the data. The result indicated that the handball project has not resources, equipments, shortage of competition, lack of care and supervision form the respective bodies, have athletes team cohesion, contributions of players family is rear. Therefore, it is recommended that depending on the result. The project should be under the community base to fulfill resources and equipments, give chance to private owner, should motivation needed to increasing athletes performance, preparing pannel discussion for the concerned body toward the project purpose or benefits, should families support to their players and also should be constructed standardized training center.
