Data analysis was made by using frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test and correlation coefficient. For variables of the study, comparisons were made in terms of gender, place of residence and academic status. The findings of the study illustrated that farmers’ environmental knowledge and attitude is fair but generally poor in environmental practices with their level of knowledge and attitude. Concerning educational status there is no significant difference in their environmental knowledge and attitude. Males and rural farmers’ were more knowledgeable about deforestation than female and urban farmers.
