Abstract
The importance of small Christian Communities in the life of the Church has for a long time been stressed in Ikinu Parish. Ikinu parish is located in Kiambu district, thirty miles North-East of Nairobi City. However problems of leadership have emerged many times. Despite several seminars and workshops on the role of leaders, Small Christian Communities are proving hard to establish, and where they exist their growth is slow and stunted. A few facts illustrates this. As regards the question of participation of the members, for instance, the attendance is low. At the initial stage, the numbers are large and the members are full of decrease with life. After a few months the number start to less participation. In the end Small Christian Communities die out completely.
